Blind Side--A Movie Review

by Molly Noble Bull

With all the poorly conceived and downright filthy movies out there, it’s hard to find a film worth seeing anymore. But so far in her career, Sandra Bullock has made two what I call outstanding and family friendly “feel good” movies. The first was While You Were Sleeping and now, Blind Side.
Blind Side would be a good movie in any case with an excellent script and characters that seem so real you think you know them personally, and I wanted to shout for joy when I realized these characters were Christians. I won’t tell the plot because I don’t want to spoil the movie for you, but what makes this story so special is the fact that it actually happened. At the end of the movie while they were showing the credits, moviegoers got to see the real people these actors played on the screen.
With a possible score of five stars, I give Blind Side a five—and then some.

I've heard wonderful things about this movie. I can't wait to see it. From the previews I detected that the characters were Christian and this would be a wholesome movie.

I might just have to fork out the cash and see it on the big screen. I've heard nothing but wonderful reviews about this movie!

Thanks Tamika, Andrea, Lily and Karen for stopping by. If Blind Side doesn't win some kind of a reward, the judges are clueless. Even it Hollywood doesn't like it, Christians will.

Thanks Susan, Annabell and everyone,
I'm going to tell you a secret. I'm not a fan of sports movies either, but this film is a LOT more than that. It has what they once called heart.

My hubby & I saw this movie on the weekend. It was awesome! The entire theater sat through the credits at the end to see all of the photos. Beautifully done :)

Dear Patti and Catherine,
I'm so glad you and everybody else liked Blind Side as much as I did. I'm also glad you like this blog. Please tell your friends about it. In the future, I plan to do other movie reviews.
At the mall here in Kingsville, Texas where the local theater is located, I saw a Church van in the parking lot. I have no proof, but somehow, I knew they were there to see Blind Side.

Hi, I don't know you Molly, but I was searching google on Blindside and your blog came up. I am currently writing a review of this movie for my 12th grade English class, and I noticed a close parallel to the moral of the story in this movie, and the writing of the movie itself. In the movie, Michael writes a paper for his high school class about the poem, "The Charge of the Light Brigade" by Alfred Lord Tennyson about six hundred soldiers who were lead to their death because they blindly followed their leaders. Michael did not blindly follow his leaders, and as a result, he became the man he is today. The wonderful parallel I found to this in the writing of the actual movie is that the writers did not blindly follow their leaders...they broke away from the norm and actually wrote a Christian movie that was basically completely void of anything offensive at all. How wonderful to know that there are other Christians out there! Especially in the media...that's hard to come by these days!
