POLITICALLY CORRECT VS. BIBLICALLY CORRECT

by Molly Noble Bull

Without realizing it, I played the devil’s advocate at a Bible Study group I attended. We will call one of the group leaders Tom, and Tom said something that opened my eyes to a Bible truth I might never have recognized in any other way. Then the Lord brought a scripture to my mind that changed my thinking forever.
I am a former elementary school teacher, and as mothers and teachers know, children and some adults can be a little sarcastic at times. I mentioned that fact in front of a group of believers when discussing the best way to reply to a troubling message that Tom got from a friend.
First, I suggested that he be especially kind and gentle when writing the letter. “Don’t use the word you in an accusing way,” I said. “Say something like “in my opinion” etc.”
And Tom said something like “Then it’s okay to have different opinions as if both opinions are correct—as if good and evil are one and the same?”
That wasn’t what I meant, but his reply got me to thinking.
Then the Lord reminded me of Matthew chapter seven and verse 5 in the King James. In that scripture, Jesus used the term Thou Hypocrite in his teaching. The term O generation of vipers is also found in Matthew 3:7, 12:34, 23:33 and Luke 3:7, KJV.
It is good to be gentle and kind when discussing most topics. Everybody dislikes a bully. But I was too politically correct. What I learned in Bible Study last night is that I must be kind and gentle but also become Biblically correct; say it like it is with regard to scripture whether someone is offended by what I say or not. That is now my advice to all true Believers.
Forget political correctness when telling the Good News of Jesus Christ. Say what needs to be said to the generation of vipers before it is too late.

WHO'S SORRY NOW?

An article by
Molly Noble Bull

Who's Sorry Now is the title of a popular song recorded by Connie Frances back in 1958. But for me and perhaps other Christians, the title has another meaning. I’m talking about repentance.
I was raised in a liberal, mainline denominational church but back when sin was a big deal—back when bad was bad and good was good. In fact, we always repeated word-for-word from the prayer book what was called the General Confession (confession of sin) before taking Holy Communion/The Lord’s Supper. So I got in the habit of repenting of my sins at an early age.
But after I married and my husband and I joined an evangelical church, I noticed that sin didn’t appear to be as serious a mistake as it had been at my previous church. The church seemed to be saying that repentance came before salvation, but after salvation, it was optional.
Someone told me that once you were saved you didn’t need to repent anymore because your sins were forgiven—past, present and future. I can and do believe that because the Bible says so, and I believe the Bible. Nevertheless, I continued to repent of my daily sins at my new church—24/7, and I am still doing it today.
Why?
Call it habit, if you like. I call it love and respect for the LORD and his only begotten son, Jesus.
Christians are in a marriage relationship with their future spouse, Jesus, and I think we should think of that relationship like marriage between one man and one woman. When wives burn dinner, husbands often take the family out for a meal at a restaurant, and most wives tell their husbands they are sorry for burning the meal even though they aren’t required to do so via the marriage license. It is simply the kind and polite thing to do, and it shows love and respect for the husband.
Can you imagine a proper wife thinking or saying, “Okay. I burned supper. But if you think I am going to say I’m sorry, you have another think coming.”
I repent of all my evil thoughts and deeds that are not in line with the God’s views found in the Holy Bible because I love the Lord and want to please Him, and it is hard to miss the importance of repentance all through the Bible. I am especially aware of what the Book of Revelation has to say on the subject.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Revelation chapter 3 and verse 19, KJV

See what I mean?
I find this verse important because, to me, it leaves the impression that even at the end of the world, repentance would have been possible if sinners had simply repented—told to the Lord in prayer that they were sorry.

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
Revelation 9: 20-21, KJV

And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
Revelation 16: 9

Who Is Sorry Now?
Those that refused to repent of their sins and follow the Lord with their whole hearts.

Molly

NINE-ELEVEN/2001:

Remembering that day and More

by Molly Noble Bull

.   We got up real early on the morning of September 11, 2001 because we were going to drive from our home in the Texas Hill Country to Victoria, Texas, and it was a four hour drive. I was to have one of my knees replaced on September 12th, and we were to go to the hospital in Victoria and preregister for my surgery as an outpatient.
Before getting in the car for the long drive, I wanted to pray.
I decided to pray in tongues except I always sing in tongues instead. The Lord often deals with me through music, and according to the Bible, He likes for me, for all of us, to sing praises to Him. So as often happens, the Lord put a tune in my heart. Sometimes He gives me tunes I never heard previously, but often it is a hymn I sing in church. On September 11, 2001, God Bless America came into my mind. I thought that was odd. Though it was a song listed in our church hymnal, the Lord had never given me a patriotic song to sing at those times. I sang it anyway, and then we got in the car and started out on our journey.
About two hours later, we arrived in San Antonio, and we decided to go into a convenience store and buy snacks to eat and drink along the way. When we got back in our car, the cell phone rang. It was from one of our sons with a message. He was watching TV, and an airplane had hit a tower in New York City.
Then he said something like, “Oh no. Another plane hit another tower in New York City.”
We were stunned. I wondered if we should continue on to Victoria. Did I want to be in surgery during World War III? But we decided to continue on.
When we arrived at the hospital in Victoria, everybody was watching TV or praying or both. I was invited to attend a prayer service on another floor, but I couldn’t. I had to stay in line to preregister for my surgery.
We stayed in a motel that night. As we were watching TV, we saw the congress of the United States go outside and stand on the steps of the Capitol building and sing a song. And what were they singing?
God Bless America.
My surgery was a success, and we saw a lot of posters with God Bless America written on them in the weeks and months to follow. Then the posters disappeared, and everything returned to the way it was before 9-11.
On Sunday, September 13, 2015, there will be a partial solar-eclipse. Many believe that a solar-eclipse is a message from God for the entire world. Sunday, September 13th, is Elul 29 on the Jewish calendar, and many believe that there will be some kind of financial crisis on or near that date. If that was not enough, Monday--September 14, 2015, is Rosh Hashanah, (Feast of Trumpets) the Jewish New Year, and some call it the Time of Jacob's Trouble.
A lot of new things are happening in the Month of September.
Stay Tuned.

PRAYER AND BIBLE STUDY: Wednesday, June 17, 2015

Christian America and perhaps others were grieved to the core of their beings on hearing what happened at a church in Charleston, South Carolina on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. It was especially meaningful to us because like Christians around the country, my husband and I also attended a Bible study meeting on that Wednesday night as we normally do and at approximately the exact time as the one in Charleston. What happened to our brothers and sisters in Jesus there could have happened to any of us, and our hearts cry out for those who are hurting—for those who grieve because of their loss. Let us never forget what happened that night and pray that it never happens again.
Satan meant what took place at that church for evil. But God meant it for good. And good has already resulted from it. As wicked as that shooting was, a nation blinded by color has become color-blind—at least for now. May the love and forgiveness birthed in that terrible moment in Charleston continue, spreading to encase the entire world in the love and peace of God Almighty.
For there is only one true God; there is no other. His name is God the Father in the name of His only begotten son, Jesus—the Messiah, the Savior, the Lord and the King of all those who truly follow Him. May the lessons learned in Charleston about love, forgiveness and repentance catch fire to encase the entire world—forever and ever more.

MOTHER OF THE YEAR: The Lady in the Yellow Shirt

by Molly Noble Bull

Mothers, especially Christian mothers and grandmothers, have a tough job in life. They want their children and grandchildren to love them. At the same time, they want them “in that number when the saints come marching in.” In other words, they want them to go to heaven.
Yet in the state of Maryland on the night of April 27, 2015, a woman, a mother, risk losing the love of her sixteen-year-old son for the better good. Instead of sparing the rod and spoiling her child, she did as the Bible says to do. She showed her love for the boy by smacking him in order to get his attention and turn him in the right direction.
I know. You aren’t to smack a child in the face. I would never do that nor have I ever done such a thing. But she didn’t actullay hurt the boy physically. The smack was light—meant to teach him right from wrong.
I don’t know the woman’s name. I call her The Lady in the Yellow Shirt, but I know her heart because she has the heart of a true mother.
See video:
http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/USA-Update/2015/0428/Mom-of-the-year-Why-a-Baltimore-woman-disciplined-her-son-on-TV-videoheart
This brave lady inspired me to remove my safety net and do as she did—witness to my family and others. Maybe you should do as she did too.
It might be years before the son of The Lady in the Yellow Shirt realizes that his mother was right all along and that her smacks were labors of love. But I predict that he will learn this lesson but maybe not until he has children and grandchildren of his own. Perhaps on that day, he will thank his mom for loving him enough to risk losing him.
Mother’s Day is coming up, and I vote for The Lady in the Yellow Shirt for Mother of the Year

BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS:

Attention Home-School Moms and Others

by Molly Noble Bull

The Bible warns us of false prophets in the form of witchcraft and other occult practices. But today some churches seldom, if ever, warn their congregations of these evil practices. As a result, some Christian youths as well as adults and others crave books and movies about vampires, zombies and occult witchcraft—books and movies that promote evil while calling it “cool” and appealing.
Gatehaven, my scary Gothic Historical with a strong Christian message, will appeal to young people and others interested in dark and evil practices while learning in a novel format the dangers of the occult according to the Bible.

MOLLY'S FREE BIO, Part One

.   April 8, 2015

by Molly Noble Bull

The Moon Belongs to Everyone. The Best Things in Life Are Free.

The first two lines of this message came from a song. The words are by B.G. DeSylvia and Lew Brown, and the music is by Ray Henderson. And it is so true. The best things in life are free, but it took me a long time to realize it.
.   I’m no spring chicken, as they say, but since I believe I will live to about 103, I’ll be here for a while—unless Jesus comes before then. That could happen. He could come at any time. The signs are everywhere.
.   I’m a wife, a mother of three grown sons, a grandmother, a former school teacher, and a published novelist. I am also a Born Again Christian, and that is the most important thing of all.
.   Until now, I never felt I should tell the things I am about to tell. The fact that I am telling things now explains a lot, and in the days, weeks, months and perhaps years to come, I am going to publish my bio on the internet for free in blurbs like this one filled with questions, thoughts and dreams.
.   Yes, I said dreams. The Bible says the following words about dreams in the Book of Joel, chapter 2 and verse 28.
#
And it shall come to past afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophecy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
#
.   I am having dreams—perhaps visions. Today I am finally telling what happened to me on September 11, 2001.
#
.   Today we live in South Texas in the very town where I was born, but in 2001, we lived in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. I got up real early on the morning of September 11, 2001 because we were going to drive from ConCan, Texas to Victoria, Texas, and it was a four hour drive. I was to have one of my knees replaced on September 12th, and I was to go to the hospital in Victoria and pre-register for my surgery as an outpatient.

The Lord often deals with me through music, and He likes for me, for all of us, to sing praises to Him. So as I often do, I asked the Lord to give me a tune to use in my song.

.   I thought that was odd. God Bless America was in our church hymnal, but He had never given me a patriotic song to sing in tongues previously.
.   I sang, using that tune anyway. Then we got in the car and started out on our journey.

The illustration on this page was done by artist, Courtney Young. The song, THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE FREE, was published in 1925 by B.G. DeSyliva, Lew Brown and Ray Henderson, and the words are true. The best things in life really are free.
.   We will be learning more about that as my bio continues; so stay turned. There is more to come.

SOLAR ECLIPSE, A Super Rare Event

by Molly Noble Bull

A solar eclipse located at the North Pole and associated with the 4 Blood Moons will take place on Friday, March 20, 2015, and last for two minutes. This rare event will begin at 12:18 PM Jerusalem time.
For the United States, the eclipses will begin at 6:18 AM and last until 6:20 AM Central Time, and many believe that the Blood Moons and the solar eclipse on March 20th  are signs from God—urgings to repent while there is still time and follow the Lord.
Blood Moons are said to be connected to prophecies related to the Nation of Israel and solar eclipses are connected to prophecies related to the entire world.
March 20th is the first day of spring, and according to Root Source, a Christian and Jewish web site, a total eclipse on the first day of spring at the North Pole happens once in a hundred thousand years.
The solar eclipse of 2015 will be followed by two blood moons this year. The next blood moon will occur on April 4, 2015.
The illustration on this page was done by Courtney Young.
Stay tuned.

THE DIVIDED KINGDOM--A Quick History of Israel

by Molly Noble Bull

In my opinion, certain Bible facts are not clearly explained in Christian religious services today. Yet a lack of knowledge of these scriptures prevents Christians from fully understanding the Bible. One of these topics is known as the Divided Kingdom.
The Book of Genesis explains in chapters 22 to 50 that Abraham begot Isaac, and Isaac begot twin boys, Jacob and Esau. Of the two, God loved Jacob best.
Jacob fell in love with a lovely young woman named Rachel, and her father promised to give her to Jacob in marriage, if Jacob worked for him for seven years. Jacob agreed to these terms, but at the end of the seven years, Jacob was given Leah, Rachel’s older sister, instead. He had to work another seven years to get Rachel.
So Jacob had two wives, Rachel and Leah, and he also had some concubines. But he loved Rachel best. Therefore, it is not surprising that he loved Joseph more than his other sons because Joseph’s mother was Rachel, and he gave Joseph a coat of many colors. Later, Jacob and Rachel had a second son, Benjamin, but Rachel died in childbirth having Benjamin. His wives and concubines gave Jacob twelve sons plus Levi. The tribe of Levi was the priestly tribe and was not to be counted with the other twelve tribes. The Bible states that there are twelve tribes of Israel and with the tribe of Levi, there would be thirteen. However, the tribe of Levi was the priestly tribe and was not to be counted as part of the twelve.
And God changed Jacob’s name to Israel. (See Genesis 32: 28.)
Jacob had twelve sons and each son headed a tribe. After God changed Jacob’s name to Israel, his sons were called the twelve tribes of Israel.

You might also want to read the Jacob/Israel’s prophecy concerning his sons found in Genesis, chapter 49, and Deuteronomy, chapter 33. If you also read the prophecy of the twelve tribes in the Book of Revelation, chapter seven, you will notice that the tribe of Dan is not mentioned. In his place is Joseph's oldest son, Manasseh.

Jacob’s descendants were called the children of Israel—later called the Nation of Israel.
The Nation of Israel’s first king was Saul. But King David soon replaced Saul as King of Israel. When King David died, his son, Solomon, became King. After King Solomon died, his son Rehoboam reigned as king.

During Rehoboam’s reign, the twelve tribes were divided—the result of a sort of civil war. (1 King 12: 1-43 and 1 Kings 13: 1-10) The southern tribes were made up of Judah, Benjamin and the Levites. Since Judah was the main tribe in this group of two plus the Levites, the southern tribes were called Judah, and their capitol was Jerusalem. The name, Judah, was shorted to Jew or the Jews.

The tribe of Joseph was the main tribe of the ten northern tribes, and Jeroboam reigned as their king. In the Bible, the northern tribes are called Joseph, but they are also called Ephraim and Israel. Ephraim was the younger of Joseph's two sons. Along with Joseph, his father. Ephraim headed the northern tribes, and Manasseh, his older brother, replaced Dan in the Book of the Revelation, chapter seven, as one of the twelve tribes. Some from the northern tribes turned away from God and worshiped at Bethel instead of at the Temple at Jerusalem. (1 Kings 12: 16-33)

Both the tribes of Judah and the tribes of Israel were eventually captured by their enemies and led away into slavery. Israel was taken to Assyria, and Judah was taken to Babylon— modern day Iraq. The tribes of Judah (the Jews) were eventually released and allowed to return to Jerusalem to build the second Temple. But the ten northern tribes were never seen again—until fairly recently when some (but not all) were found. The recent discovery of some of the lost tribes is another reason we know that Jesus is coming soon. However, most of the ten tribes are still lost. Only God knows where the descendants of the northern tribes are located today.

Knowing the facts about the tribes of Judah and Joseph/Ephraim/Israel makes it easier to understand Ezekiel chapter 37, Hosea chapter 1, and other scripture verses.

Ezekiel 37: 15-17 says,
And the word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,
Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write on it For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write on it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for the House of Israel his companions.
And join them together into one stick, and they shall become one in thine hand.

Ezekiel 37: 20-22 says,
And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.
Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.
Also read John 10:16:

Hosea 1: 10-11
The people of Israel will become like the sand of the sea, more than can be counted or measured. Now God says to them, “You are not my people,” but the day is coming when he will say to them, “You are the children of the living God!” The people of Judah and the people of Israel will be reunited. They will choose for themselves a single leader, and once again they will grow and prosper in their land. Yes, the day of Jezreel will be a great day!

We know that one day the two sticks will become one nation under one king. As Christians, we also know that the king’s name is Jesus. Many think that the Tribes of Joseph/Ephraim/Israel are the gentile nations, and that sounds logical. Who else could they be?
But is it possible that today the ten lost tribe are made up of Christians?
