By Molly Noble Bull
Some years ago, I wrote a
series of Bible stories in rhyme for children titled God's Favorite
Family. But I was never able to find an artist to do the
illustrations. Now I have. I would like to introduce Courtney Young.
Courtney and her family have lived
in South Texas where I live for five generations. Her late grandfather was the
pastor of a church for forty years.
Currently, Courtney is attending
McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas. She did the cartoon illustrations
for all the little books in the God's Favorite Family series, and there will be
at least twelve books—maybe more. Helping Hands Press will be publishing
the little e-book, and I will be telling more about the books in the days
and months to come. But since this is Holy Week, we thought it might be a
good time to show one of Courtney's drawings.
Her drawing of the Crucifixion
will not appear in Book 1 of the series. However, it will appear in one of
the later books.
Take a look, and if you would like
to encourage a young Christian artist, please leave a comment.
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believe in him will not perish but have everlasting life.

Congratulations Courtney! This brings such a big smile to my face! You're not only using your amazing artistic talents to do what you've always dreamed of; you're also doing God's work to bring joy and knowledge to everyone who reads this! I can't wait to buy my copy and share with everyone I know. Congrats again!
Congratulations to my baby sister! I'm so happy you have found something you enjoy that glorifies God. May many be blessed by your collaboration in spreading the good news of Christ! Love you!
That's an adorable drawing. You must be very talented and I wish I had someone like you close to my home to work with! Blessings on your continued work and labors for God!
That is great Courtney, I am working on some children's stories. There is also a great facebook group for childrens writers and illustrators.
So nice to meet you here, Courtney. I've heard a lot about you thru Molly & am eager to see more of your talent.
Thank you all so much visiting. Your comments are appreciated.
I also appreciate all of you who visited Writers Rest and read my article on Courtney Young. We will talk to Courtney again when the first little book is published.
Love,
Molly
